Welding Fumes & Toxic Gases

Welding produces metal fumes, ozone, nitrogen oxides, and carbon monoxide. Prolonged or unprotected exposure can cause respiratory disease, metal fume fever, and long-term lung damage. WXI enforces strict ventilation and respiratory protection protocols on every job site.

WXI safety protocols enforced on all active sites

Engineering & administrative controls

  • Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) at the weld point
  • NIOSH-approved respirators for confined or low-ventilation areas
  • Air monitoring on enclosed structural work
  • Pre-task hazard assessment before each shift
